New Partnership: Lucky Goose Music, LLC at The Wyoming Fine Arts Center

Lucky Goose Music believes anyone can make music, regardless of age or ability. Although the goose may not be the most melodious of birds, who is to say they’re not musical!

The group programs will follow an approach called Community Music Therapy, which posits that the act of making music is more important than the academic or technical outcomes. Meaning, we are more focused on using music to interact with one another, and less focused on the accuracy of the music being played. Here, music is the catalyst for social support, emotional expression, enhanced well-being, and more.

✨🎵✨ Harmonious Aging: Interactive Music Therapy for Older Adults
There is a vast amount of research that supports the use of music in our older years. Music is one of those things that is treasured throughout our lives. It can change our mood, match our mood, and create memories. As we age, many people experience things like retirement, family moving away, and other forms of loss. Music therapy can help to process these events by creating connections centered around the love of music.
The program will consist of interactive music experiences that will allow the group to recreate songs through singing and instruments (provided by me), as well as participate in music discussions and lyric analyses. Lyric analysis allows group participants to process the words to a song in a structured environment. Having a board-certified music therapist present creates a safe environment for people to connect and process feelings.

✨🎵✨  Mindful Melodies: Music Therapy Series
These Music Therapy focused workshops will approach a number of mental health concepts through the power of engaging with community, lyrical analysis, musical expression, and provide a safe space for social support, expression, and well-being. See below for descriptions. Workshops are designed to be independent, or attend multiple for a more holistic experience!
