Gingerbread Jamboree!

A warm and festive seasonal event with the WFAC Featuring an all-ages Puppet Show and Gingerbread House Building workshop!

Wyoming Fine Arts Center is proud to partner with River City Puppets to present Dylan Shelton's production of the Holiday show "Gingerbread Jamboree!"

"Ralphie the Elf has one dangerous job; he has to feed the Gingerbread Beast! It gobbles up cookies, houses, and most of all… stories! With help from the audience, Ralphie must entertain the beast with hilarious versions of The Gingerbread Man, Hansel and Gretel, and a surprising new tale starring the Gingerbread Beast himself."

Show Times for December 16:

  • Noon-1pm
  • 2pm-3pm 

Showing in the Wyoming Fine Arts Center Ballroom.  Tickets are $10 per person, please purchase in advance. Tickets will be available at the door. Children under the age of 2 are free!

Join us before or after the show and get creative with our Gingerbread House Building workshop! Enjoy building and decorating these sweet architectural wonders!

Gingerbread House workshop will take place between 1- 4pm.
$40 per family (group up to 5 people), all supplies included, and you get to take home your creation to enjoy!

River City Puppets:
River City Puppets is a new puppet theater founded by Dylan Shelton that blends the arts of puppetry and storytelling to captivate children and family audiences. Before launching River City Puppets, Dylan wrote and directed more than 30 children’s productions, performed thousands of puppet performances across 20 states and Canada, and taught puppetry, theatre, and acting from preschools through colleges and universities. Dylan also creates puppet theatre to be performed with symphony orchestras. He has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra,  Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Portland Symphony Orchestra, and more. In 2022, Dylan performed a solo puppetry piece, Animist, conceived by Andy Gaukel. Animist was awarded a Henson Foundation grant and was performed for Puppetopia at Here Arts Center in New York City. Dylan is one of the lead puppeteers for $martpath, an Emmy Award winning web series for children. Dylan graduated from Wilmington College of Ohio with a BA in Theatre and received an MFA in Acting from Ohio University.
